This unit will prepare students for VCE Design and Technology or can be used as a general interest or vocational subject. Students are required to purchase their own fabric, threads, pattern and notions for each unit of work. The teacher will instruct the student when to purchase the fabric. Each student is required to have their own equipment in a secure bag or container.

What design and construction features are needed for a detailed garment with individuality?

Students will be taught planning and designing skills for garment/s with individuality. They will increase their skill level of construction techniques, cutting, joining, pinning, overlocking, neatening and fitting. Students will complete a detailed self-evaluation.

The unit cost indicated is the 2024 fee. Please note that all unit fees are currently being reviewed and 2025 costs will be provided once approved by School Council.
