How to set up oxy-acetylene, manual metal arc, gas metal arc welding equipment and learn to weld safely.

Students will gain an introductory understanding of oxy-acetylene, manual metal arc, gas metal arc welding processes and be able to choose the correct equipment and consumables to weld safely. They will incorporate these skills to fabricate several different projects. Students will look at Occupational Health and Safety issues and learn how to be safe whilst undertaking welding and fabrication.

The unit cost indicated is the 2024 fee. Please note that all unit fees are currently being reviewed and 2025 costs will be provided once approved by School Council.
