This unit contains aspects of Chemical and Biological Science

How do Human Body systems function? What causes disease and how do we treat them? What are the Chemical reactions of Life? Does Radiation make me glow in the Dark?

By the end of this unit students will be able to: understand the regulation and co-ordination of body systems and their functions; identify disease causing organisms and pathogenic agents; understand how an organism responds to disease and develops immunity; understand atomic structure and its relationship to properties of chemicals and organisation of the periodic table; investigate different chemical reactions and their role in industry.

The unit cost indicated is the 2024 fee. Please note that all unit fees are currently being reviewed and 2025 costs will be provided once approved by School Council.
