This unit contains aspects of Environmental and Physical Sciences

What is sustainable energy? How do we produce energy efficiently? How do we hear sounds from around corners but we can’t see around corners? What is electromagnetic radiation and how do we use it? How is electricity made?

By the end of this unit students will be able to; explore how and why movement of energy varies according to the medium in which it is transferred; explore properties of waves, where energy is transferred in the form of waves such as sound and light; describe and explain the range of energy sources in the world including renewable energy; investigate aspects of flight, speed and distance travelled.

The unit cost indicated is the 2024 fee. Please note that all unit fees are currently being reviewed and 2025 costs will be provided once approved by School Council.
