This course contains aspects of Biological and Environmental Sciences

Human Body – How do we work?  Cells – What makes living things different?  Environment – How do animals and plants grow?  Environment – What are ecosystems and how do they function?

By the end of this unit students will be able to identify and describe the organs and describe their function in a multicellular organism; examine the specialised cells and tissues involved in supporting life; identify and describe the form, structure and major functions of plant and animal cells; compare reproductive systems of organisms; distinguish between sexual and asexual reproduction; identify the interrelationships between organisms and organisms and their environment; Understand the flow of energy through ecosystems; and understand adaptations of plants and animals that enhance survival.
