Satisfactory completion of this unit is required by students wishing to succeed in Standard Year 8 Mathematics Unit 2.

Students will be able to: explain how to solve a problem; find and calculate the perimeter and area of a variety of simple and complex shapes; collect, present, and analyse data; gain an understanding of the use of integers involving the four processes; convert between fractions, decimals and percentages and calculate a percentage of an amount; measure, construct, and calculate angles involving triangles and parallel lines; and solve algebraic equations using manipulation of equations.

The unit cost indicated is the 2024 fee. Please note that all unit fees are currently being reviewed and 2025 costs will be provided once approved by School Council.
