This unit is designed to prepare students to study History at VCE level.

What were the causes,effects and significance of events in WW2?

Students will investigate wartime experiences through a study of World War II in depth. This shall include a study of the causes, events, outcome and broader impact of the conflict as an episode in world history, and the nature of Australia’s involvement. They will examine significant events of World War II, such as - Prisoners of War, the Battle of Britain and the Blitz, the Rats of Tobruk, War in the Pacific, Kokoda and the Fall of Singapore. We will also explore the significance of World War II to Australia’s international relationships in the twentieth century.
