This unit gives credit for both the VCE and VCAL programs.

A major component of this subject is the completion of a nationally recognised Certificate III in Sport and Recreation. This unit gives credit for both the VCE and VCAL programs. In addition to this, students will continue to work on the 4 key elements of SIP, including:
1. Conditioning – the undertaking of activities based around fitness, flexibility and strength in the Brauer High Performance Centre. This will build on the fitness knowledge developed for those who took part in the program in years 7-9.
2. Skill Development – Students choose from one of Brauer’s existing sports academies to work on Skill Development.
3. Community links – the Ambassador Model: students work in the community as College representatives.
4. Sports Industry Education: Students explore higher education in sport through links with Deakin University including opportunities to visit the Deakin campus and also through the completion of their VET certificate.

The unit cost indicated is the 2024 fee. Please note that all unit fees are currently being reviewed and 2025 costs will be provided once approved by School Council.
