What are the ways that wooden projects can be constructed?

All students will undertake 2 major design challenges over the course of a semester.<ol><li>Students will gain the skill and knowledge necessary to construct an introductory wood turned product. They will gain an understanding of required OHS and the challenges associated with the use of a wood lathe.</li><li>Students will also learn to appreciate the various characteristics of timber and its uses within the furniture-making industry. They will undertake a design brief to create a storage product, map the design stages and devise a timeline to its completion. It will also include appropriate OHS training and a final reflection on the completed project.</li></ol>
