Visual Communication Design gives you skills and tools that will not only assist you with entry into Architecture, Product Design and Gaming and Web design but also gives you the transferable skills useful for Trades, Arts and anything where presentation is key to success.

Full Description

Students will be introduced to the design process which will expand their range of ideas when creating and making. Working as designers, they will develop solutions to design briefs. Using the Australian Standards, students will complete instrumental and freehand presentations drawing in creative and conventional ways. They will learn the appropriate use of the different drawing systems to represent information about form, space and relationships. Students will also learn to develop drawings and models that will visually explain the exterior and interior spaces of buildings. Traditional and computer-generated drawing systems will be looked at and students will be encouraged to work with a range of media styles.

Note: The skills and disciplines learnt in Visual Communication B will enable students to make an easy transition into either the VCE or VCAL Visual Communication and Design.
