Full Description
In Year 9 Art, you will build on the creative skills developed in Year 8 and begin to specialise in photography, printmaking and painting. This subject is hands on, creative and inquiry based, encouraging you to experiment, investigate and develop your own artistic ideas. Throughout the semester, you will strengthen your drawing skills and learn how artists develop ideas from concept to final artwork. You will learn beginner Photoshop skills, how to use Canon DSLR cameras, create cyanotypes in the dark room. In printmaking, you will explore etching techniques and design street art stencils. In painting, you will experiment with acrylic and watercolour techniques to create your own artworks.
