Satisfactory achievement of two Year 7 Mathematics units (i.e. AusVELS Level 7.0).
Full Description
Students will be able to: explain how to solve a problem; find and calculate the perimeter and area of a variety of simple and complex shapes; collect, present, and analyse data; gain an understanding of the use of integers involving the four processes; convert between fractions, decimals and percentages and calculate a percentage of an amount; measure, construct, and calculate angles involving triangles and parallel lines; and solve algebraic equations using manipulation of equations.
Note: Satisfactory completion of this unit is required by students wishing to succeed in Standard Year 8 Mathematics Unit 2.
